Three Ways to Bring the Metal Arts into Fine Architecture

The staircase above is a narrow winder, with a tight  complex curve.  It could have remained a dark corner, but bronze inlays routed into the treads give sparkle to the surface of the steps.  The massively forged ironwork of hot splits, arches and gothic diamonds above is lightened on the stairs with tapered pickets and opened up with the diamond picket from the ironwork above.
